A very important part of this Synodal process is the SURVEY being offered by the Diocese of Providence. Please take a few minutes to complete this SURVEY to begin the process of synodality in the Diocese of Providence.

Second Part of the Synod process is regional gathering sessions.
La segunda parte del proceso del Sínodo son las reuniones regionales.
These sessions are open to all. These meetings can take place in regional areas and in parishes. The following regional synodal meetings have been announced by the Diocesan Office of Faith Formation.
Estas sesiones están abiertas a todos. Estas reuniones pueden tener lugar en áreas regionales y en parroquias. La Oficina Diocesana de Formación en la Fe ha anunciado las siguientes reuniones sinodales regionales.
- March 28 – 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, St. Mary of the Bay Church, Warren
- April 4 – 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Cathedral of Ss. Peter and Paul, Providence

These sessions are open to all. These meetings can take place in regional areas and in parishes. The following regional synodal meetings have been announced by the Diocesan Office of Faith Formation.

Four Regional Gatherings
We have planned four Regional Gathering Sessions to contribute to the diocesan phase in preparation for the Synod of Bishops that will meet in 2023. The dates, times, and locations of the gatherings are below.
What is the goal of the gatherings?
These regional gatherings will give us the opportunity to hear from Catholics about their experience of journeying toward the face of Christ. The Vatican's document, Process for Facilitating Synodal Consultations, states the following: "Participants should share their meaningful experiences (not opinions on each other’s experiences) of the local Catholic 'journeying together' in ministry" (9). The goal is to prayerfully discuss what the Church is doing well and what the Church can improve upon as we journey together.
What this is not...
The Synod Gathering Sessions are not an opportunity to point out all of the flaws of the Catholic Church without providing reasonable solutions that are rooted in truth. We are guided by the principle caritas in veritate, charity in truth.
What this is...
The Synod Gatherings Sessions are an opportunity to share your perspective. Be prepared to also offer solutions and share elements of parish life that lead people into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church.
