  • It is inspiring to listen to the thoughts of our youth in our Parish. They have such an important impact in our Parish. 
  • What do our faith formation teachers get out of the time they dedicate to the students?
  • What does faith mean to each of the students and their teachers?
  • Faith challenges us when we are not being the best version of ourselves.
  • How do we react when we don’t always get what we ask for from God?
  • What is a Saint, how do we recognize them, and can we become one?
  • Do you know what KFCPUFFW means?
    • Hint- it has to do with 7 gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Episode 14:  Truly Understanding the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony
The Sacrament of Holy Matrimony is part of God’s plan from the beginning of time. 
  • It is between and man and a woman through Jesus.
  • Babies are beautiful and are the result of marriage.
  • Priest witnesses but doesn’t marry us – it truly is in the eyes of God.
  • Do you pray with your wife? The fruit of praying together is essential to getting to know each other.
  • The “culture” is trying to change how men treat women.
  • When you take God out of anything everything seems to crumble.
  • The Bible teaches true marriage is the giving up of yourself.
  • The Church teaches marriage is a natural right.
  • Marriage inside the church is a covenant between two people – it is a guarantee we can be loved for the rest of our lives, and everyone needs love in their lives.
  • Marriage between a man and a woman is symbolic of God’s relationship with us. 
  • How is a Catholic marriage different from a secular a marriage?
  • There is a beauty to the chaos.

Episode 13: The most misunderstood sacrament: Sacrament of the Sick

Episode 12: ”Your Soul is a House of God – Confession is a restoration of your Soul”
  • Sacraments of healing
    • Reconciliation- spiritual healing
    • Anointing of the Sick – physical healing
  • We should prepare our selves to face God at the end of the Earth.
  • Reconciliation is an emotional thing and by confessing our sins it heals our heart.
  • Our spiritual healing is so important to us and for the people around us and The Church.
  • It is wrong to believe a priest might judge us or look at us differently.
  • Sin is not important, but the devil wants us to believe it is. It is a trap of the devil.
  • The cost of confession is a willingness to humble yourself.
  • When confessing a sin over and over again, God might decide to take that temptation away.
  • The Catechism says Jesus Christ is the physician of our body & soul.
  • Saying a prayer is a powerful thing.​

Episode 11:  "Understanding the Power & Meaning of the Liturgical Season"  (available 8/30/2022)
  • What do we celebrate at the beginning of the church season?
  • Why do we celebrate ordinary time and what does ordinary mean?
  • Catholics celebrate extended seasons, so we have time to reflect and get closer to God.
    • ​The season of Advent is a personal time of preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus
    • The season of Lent is so powerful because it is a time of repentance, and a reflection of new life God gives us each year.
    • What is the Holy Triduum (Holy Week)?  
  • What are the colors of the vestments and what is the reason each are worn at that time Catholic Church?​

Episode 10: ” Sacrament of Confirmation – Empowering God’s People with the help of His Advocate”
  • ​Confirmation – sending you an Advocate (Holy Spirit)​

  • Young adults and children see people walking about not fully alive
  • Gift of Holy Spirit not just to get me to my goals
  • Young people have finely honed sense of hypocrisy
  • Confirmation - God empowers us not to stand aside problems of life
  • God is giving authority through Confirmation to powerfully command Spirit of God to be where we know God needs to be – especially young adults
  • Life is better when we receive Gifts of Holy Spirit
  • Young people might not have confidence to use this authority to help people but we as parents, fellow parishioners should encourage
  • The World says one thing and the Church says another – Jesus spoke against this quite a bit

Episode 9: "The Meaning and the Power of the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist"
  • The Eucharist is the Body of Jesus Christ – no greater love then to receive Eucharist
  • Confession is a must to wipe away sins
  • One must prepare to wipe away any barriers between us and Jesus so we can get the full graces of The Eucharist
  • Forgiveness of sins is possible for anyone
  • Don’t just listen to what society says but listen to what Jesus is telling you – drown out all the noise around us and listen
  • The Sacrament of the Eucharist sustains us
  • In such a time Global turmoil and messages of hate and ways to feel bad about yourself, Jesus offers us Hope and Eternal life – Just follow Him
  • Material things are just fleeting - Jesus is forever
